Workplace Safety Isn’t a Policy. It’s a Hiring Strategy.

SELECTEMP SAFETY STANDARD

No Shortcuts. Especially on Safety.

We Hire for Reliability.

We Hire for Reliability.

Forklift operator. Overhead crane. Machine operator. We ask specific, role-based questions so you get someone who’s actually run the equipment, not just someone who’s available.

Before an associate steps onto your floor, we walk your facility and review your safety history. Nobody's walking in blind on day one. Including us.

We Check Your Site, Not a Box.

An incident handled differently every time is its own liability. We give you one clear process for reporting and documentation, so it doesn't matter who's on shift when something happens — the response is the same, every time.

We Don’t Improvise on Incidents.

Regulations shift more than most people check. We keep a Safety Consultant on staff specifically to track those changes — so the guidance we bring you is current, not something we glanced at once and filed away.

WHAT A SAFE FLOOR GETS YOU

Safety Doesn’t Slow You Down. Incidents Do.

We track OSHA and Oregon regulations as they change, so you're not playing catch-up after the fact.

Fewer Injuries, Fewer Claims.

Every incident you prevent is a claim you don’t file and a shift you don’t lose to paperwork.

A Crew That Keeps Moving.

A safe floor doesn’t stall. It’s the unsafe ones that grind to a halt.

No OSHA Surprises.

SAFETY, VERIFIED

We Don’t Just Say Safety Matters. We’re Certified In It.

Our staff is OSHA-10 certified, and we put that training to work on every manufacturing, construction, and industrial placement we make — so the people screening your candidates know what to look for.

FAQS

Who’s Responsible for What? Here Are The Answers.

We’re committed to creating a safe, healthy work environment for every field employee. Here are answers to some of the most common safety questions we hear from our partners.

Yes, without question. Temporary workers are protected under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) just like any full-time employee. Whether someone’s with you for a day or a decade, they have a right to a safe workplace from the moment they show up.

It depends on the industry and the role — a warehouse and a production line don’t carry the same risks. That’s exactly why we look at your facility and your safety history, including your OSHA 300 log, before we ever send someone your way. Filling the role isn’t the finish line for us. Everyone going home safe at the end of the shift is.

We cover general workplace safety during onboarding. Job-specific and site-specific safety training is your responsibility. You know your equipment, processes, and hazards best. We provide workers who are prepared to learn, follow your safety procedures, and work safely on-site.

You are. As the host employer, you know the hazards on your site better than anyone, so selecting, providing, and enforcing the right PPE stays your responsibility.

The employer providing day-to-day, on-site supervision is responsible for reporting any work-related fatality, inpatient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. Selectemp and our client partners share responsibility for ensuring workers know how to report injuries and illnesses immediately and for communicating promptly with one another when an incident occurs.

Safety comes first. If a Selectemp associate is injured on the job, make sure they receive appropriate medical attention and report the injury to Selectemp as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to understand what happened, document the incident, and determine the appropriate next steps. The sooner we know about an injury, the sooner we can respond.

You are. Even if someone tells you they’ve run a forklift or overhead crane before, it’s still on you to confirm they’re competent on your specific equipment before they get to work. Experience elsewhere doesn’t guarantee familiarity with your machine.

Stop the unsafe behavior first. Your team has the right to address an immediate safety concern on-site, and we expect our associates to follow your safety rules and procedures. Let Selectemp know when an associate isn’t following those expectations so we can address the issue directly and determine the right next step. Safety rules aren’t suggestions, and neither of us benefits from letting unsafe behavior slide.
